Honeymoon Mistakes To Avoid:
Forgetting to book a hotel room for your wedding
night
Believe it or not, this one is very common! Many brides
are so focused on the big day, and on arriving at their honeymoon destination,
that they forget about the wedding night if they aren’t leaving right
after the wedding. You’ll want your first night together to be special,
so put some thought into where you’ll stay and how you’ll get there
after the reception (or let us do that for you).

Don't let your jewelry slow you down...
If you must wear jewelry while flying, consider carrying a small
ziploc-style baggie in which to put your jewelry (then slip it into
your purse) before you go through security. This way you don't set
off the metal detectors as you pass through, and everything stays
together so that you don't risk chasing a dropped earring around on
the floor, or forgetting them in that little basket on the other side
(dont laugh, I've seen it happen!)

Advice
Dear Honey,
Due to work conflicts, we can't take our Honeymoon until six months after our wedding, but we still want to have a romantic weekend alone after the wedding - how do we tell our family that even though we're at home we don't really want them all around? - Sara, Denver, CO Dear Sara,
By all means, let them hang around your house. YOU, however, don't have to be there! Make reservations for yourselves at a local deluxe resort and spend the weekend getting pampered together at their spa, and having romantic meals alone - maybe even have a room-service dinner by candle-light!. Another benefit is that you'll at least feel like you had a mini-honeymoon, which you would miss out if you stady at home, even if you were alone. And don't worry - your family will understand.
