Taking your pet along on your Honeymoon

 

Heading off on your Honeymoon Vacation, but can't bear to leave fluffy at home? You don't have to....but, you may ask, how do to get a pet onboard the plane under the seat?

You call the airline and ask if they have room for an in-cabin pet, because they generally accept only two per flight. The downside is the cost, which has risen from $50 one-way to $75-80.

In addition, follow these tips to ensure fewer hassles:

• Don't forget to withhold food and water the day of travel so there won't be any accidents"
• Be sure to get a letter from your vet within a week or so of travel. You are seldom asked to actually produce the letter but don't take any chances.
• When you book, ask the agent for his/her airline's requirements and take the agent's name.
• Make sure your pet-carrier is airline-approved and will fit under the seat.

Lastly, don't forget to ensure that your destination will also be able to accomodate your pet - since bring along fido is a growing trend, many now do, but it's always best to know beforehand.
